Pluck. Die. Pluck. Die.

Four days ago we bought roses. They are all shriveled up. Before that, I plucked the petals from fresh but beheaded buds. Now, they are still buds but are dead.

The top of my drawer is clouded with dried petals which are going to be used for potpourri though I haven't done anything yet. Actually, I was thinking of keeping the leaves for putting melted chocolate on top but my mother said that we didn't have any chocolate left. All was used to bake cookies. One thing I learned was that you could pull all the petals away from the seeds of the bottom to make a rose without its stem.
